Tell us about your game:
The game is called Ritual punk and is about a man in a steam-punk universe who decides he whants to become more that
just a man, and starts a rytual to become the god of machines, the "Deus Ex Machina".

the technology you chose:
For the visuals of the game our team used pixel art so the game could look more like an arcade game, this was done using Adobe Photoshop.
for the programming of the game, we used stencyl, we decided to use stencyl cause it was the engine we knew more, so
it would be easier to do the game, cause we were using a program we are used to work with.

how your game fits the theme:
To become the god of machines you need to follow some steps, and use Techno-magic so you become one with technology, in the first stage of the game of the game you must prepare the ritual, to do so you must light some candles in your studio while dodging all your stuff, like jet-packs, Tesla coils, and gears. If you do this successfully then you can start performing the ritual .
to perform the ritual, you must channel your techno-magician powers thru Tesla coils, in an order, if you do it correctly the you go into a state of enlightenment where if you focus your energy for enough time, you become the Deus Ex Machina, and if you fail to focus for that long time then you have to do the ritual again.
if you fail to do the ritual you fail the game and have to start from 0.:(

Nice job on your game, and congratulations on winning the contest! I have a few questions:

What was the most challenging part of creating the game?

Do you have experience with any other game engines or tools?

Are you going to keep working on this game, or something else next?

What was the most challenging part of creating the game?

Mostly working with a group, and the organization of the group, it was my first jam so i choose stencyl for being an easy tool to use.
passing the code from one computer to another was something new to me, so we had some problem with that, but we got a clear idea of our project so it didn't affect us to much.

Do you have experience with any other game engines or tools?
i'm learning to use Unity, but i'm still new at it, the good thing is that i already know C# so i just need to learn how to apply it to Unity, i'm watching the tutorials on https://unity3d.com .

Are you going to keep working on this game, or something else next?
as an exercise i what to re-code all the games i have made on stencyl on unity, i'm planing to keep participating on more game jams but i wont participate until i learn how to use unity correctly. and if i get the chance work on some personal projects with some friends i will try to keep you up to date about it all.

if you have more questions please let me know
